Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route - feel free to ask!

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available, Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are allowed in almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. Please note that bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment, such as tripods, large video equipments, and equipment backpacks, will not be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Gratuity is not included and is left to individual discretion.

  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 72 hours before your original departure time and date. Brilliant and engaging tour

lessia our small group tour guide was excellent She was well informed engaging cheerful humourous patient and very knowledgeable She guided us expertly through the crowds and exhibits focussing on some of the most remarkable highlights She also provided fascinating historical context and information on Michaelangelo Raphael Pope Julius Ii and St Peters And she provided a brilliant visual and illustrated tutorial on what to look for in the Sistine Chapel before we entered We most highly recommend this tour particularly with Alessia Dan and Debbie

A great way to see the Vatican Museum highlights

Highly recommended tour of the Vatican including the Sistine Chapel and the Raphael Rooms Guia was an excellent guide pointing out all the little details that one would miss otherwise

Excellent Tour and Guide Private is the Way to Go if You Can

The tour was great Ursus our guide was delightful friendly very knowledgeable about the artwork and architecture and he was great at leading us quickly through the large crowds so we always got a good view of things The tour was about 25 hours and I feel like we got to see everything we wanted to see in that time While it may cost a little more for the private tour I was very happy that we did it once I was inside and Ursus was leading by all of the large tour groups and it was nice to be able to have an ongoing conversation with our guide and freely ask any questions we had as we went along
