About the tour

Step into the heart of the Vatican on an intimate small group tour that includes skip-the-line access to both the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica. With no more than 10 guests per group, you’ll breeze past the entrance lines and begin your journey through some of the most iconic sites in the world.

Led by a passionate, English-speaking Vatican expert, you’ll dive deep into the legends, history, and artistic brilliance that fill the Vatican Museums. From the grand Pinecone and Belvedere Courtyards to the Gallery of the Candelabra, the Gallery of the Tapestries, the Gallery of the Maps, and stunning spaces like the Greek Cross Room, the Round Room, and the Room of the Muses — your guide will ensure you don’t miss a thing.

Your visit culminates in the Sistine Chapel, where your guide will prepare you to fully appreciate Michelangelo’s masterpieces, including the Creation of Adam and the Last Judgment.

From there, enjoy privileged access directly into St. Peter’s Basilica via a special skip-the-line corridor available only through guided tours. While your guide will not enter the Basilica with you, you’ll have the freedom to explore its awe-inspiring interior at your own pace.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, including but not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

At the end of your tour Skip the Line acccess directly to St. Peter's Basilica from the Vatican Museums will be provided. No guided tour will be provided inside but you will be free to explore on your own.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are allowed in almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. Please note that bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment, such as tripods, large video equipments, and equipment backpacks, will not be permitted inside the Museums.

Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.

Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.
