About the tour

Explore Rome's secret island, Ponza, on a day trip departing from central Rome. Avoid crowded, lacklustre beaches near Rome and enjoy crystal-clear waters 30 nautical miles away in Ponza.

The ferry to Ponza, costing 60 euros (not included, payable at check-in), departs from Anzio, offering a 1.5-hour ride. Upon arrival in Ponza, take a brief break for breakfast and board an excursion boat for an exhilirating 5-hour circumnavigation of Ponza. Discover hidden coves, gravity-defying rock formations, and blue grottoes while your expert tour leader translates the Italian commentary. Make 4-5 stops for swimming and snorkeling, and enjoy a pasta lunch freshly prepared by the captain and served on board, picnic style.

The boat excursion ends at 4:00 PM, providing an hour of free time in Ponza's lively port to enjoy an ice cream or a spritz, or to shop. Board the return ferry to Anzio, reaching central Rome just before 9:00 PM. This organized tour handles logistics, ensuring a worry-free experience.

Opt for the "with snorkel" option to receive your own set of gear, or choose a private experience with hotel pick-up, a guide, skipper, and a private boat. For the private excursion, lunch is not included but can be purchased in the port and brought on board or you can schedule a lunch stop at a restaurant. Ferry tickets for the private experience cost an additional 60 euros (paid at check-in).

Wonderful experience except for the ferry

The guide Ponza and the boat ride around the island were all 5 stars But the 2 hour ferry ride on rough seas was horrible

Starting Point

We meet front of Caffè Cestia in Piazza di Porta San Paolo 1. Please note that above the bar the sign says “BAR PIRAMIDE” and not Caffè Cestia. The caffè is located to the left of OTTICA PIRAMIDE. Look for our representative wearing the color bright green and carrying a flag with the EcoArt logo.The cafè is open in the early mornings. The closest metro stop is the Line B - Piramide station.

A must do

The most amazing trip Even though we had a little rain and a cloudy sky this trip was so so worth it Ricardo was an amazing guide so friendly and knowledgeable about the sights both on the bus and the actual boat tour I cannot say enough about how beautiful Ponza is and getting to swim several times throughout the day was an unforgettable experience Everything was simply amazing

Perfect way to view the island of Ponza in a day

Riccardo was an excellent tour guide he picked us up with a broad smile and welcomed us to the tour From then on we were given a great explanation of the history of the island along with many interesting facts about the geology and archeology Luckily we were there at the end of the high season and were able to experience the beautiful crystalline water mostly to ourselves strongly recommend both Riccardo as a guide and the tour as a whole

Great day on the island We did 5 snorkel spots The scenery was amazing The captain and guide were great Lots of history explained Only negative would be that it wouldve been nice to find a public bathroom for us before getting in the bus

Everything was just perfect especially our tour guide Riccardo told us a lot about the Island The boat trip incl Boat Crew was absolutely amazing We had 5 pretty awesome Spots to swim and the view was stunning It was even better than expected Thanks to you guys
