Visit the Vatican Museums on Friday night! This very special series of after-dark openings are available exclusively from Spring to Fall. Make sure your evening visit to the Vatican is extra special with this carefully crafted itinerary of the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel.

Using our pre-reserved entrance, we'll enter after official opening hours - when the evening light casts a magical glow over the Vatican Museums, which are lit especially for the occasion. Experience the Sistine Chapel in the intimacy of the night while accompanied by an expert guide with perfect English. Our guests will also be able to admire the Upper Galleries of the Vatican Museums including the Gallery of the Tapestries and Candelabra, as well as the Hall of the Maps, the Octagonal Court, and Raphael’s Rooms.

Your Vatican Friday Night tour will come to its conclusion at the entrance of the Vatican Museums.

Amazing Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel

We had Maria Laura as our Tour Guide We found her to be fantastic She was very friendly and had great artistic and historical knowledge Both the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel were truly amazing Almost a surreal experience Well worth doing

Starting Point

Via Tunisi, 4. Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps at corner of Via Tunisi and Via Sebastiano Veniero. They will be holding a sign with the green EcoArt logo.

Ending Point

The tour concludes at Vatican Museums entrance.

This tour of the Vatican Museums & Sistine Chapel includes but is not limited to the following rooms: Gallery of the Tapestries and Candelabra, Hall of the Maps, the Octagonal Court, Pinecone Courtyard, Sistine Chapel and Raphael’s Rooms.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big bags/backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

Special Notes

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks are not permitted.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! In order to be eligible for a full refund your tour must be modified/cancelled by no less than 24 hours before your scheduled departure time. Refunds will not be provided for changes or cancellations made after this time.

A magical experience!

A magical experience! The buffet was more than sufficient for a dinner and it was spectacular enjoying the food, wine and music with a view of St. Peter’s dome all lit up in the background. It was a very special evening. A huge thank you to Luciano our guide - the time we got to spend in his company was the highlight of our trip, he was by far the best guide we had during this vacation.

Best experience we had in Rome

We chose EcoArt after reading some of the excellent reviews on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. Visiting the museum at night with Luciano was a magical experience, made even more special by Luciano's laid back approach and vast knowledge of all of the Vatican's little secrets and hidden spots. The "aperitivo" dinner was the icing on the cake and the live music they provided just added to the already special atmosphere. We will be recommending this tour to all of our friends and family without reserve and the memory is one we'll cherish from this trip.

Amazing tour

When with my wife I decided to book a tour to the Vatican museums, it was really hard to decide. Many companies are offering all kind of tours, all day long, and each one saying "this is the best". We decided to book a Friday night tour with Happy Hour. "Amazing" is the right word for the tour we had. We met our guide, Luciano, at the meeting point just outside the museums. We went in skipping the line and we were guided to the Pinecone Courtyard for the happy hour. There was also a concert and this gave to our happy hour something special. After this Luciano guided us through the museums, including the collection of modern art - this was a special request because we love modern art - and Luciano was immediately ready to guide us there. Luciano was answering all question and narrated us a lot of stories concerning the museums. Once outside, before to leave, Luciano gave us a gift to remember this special visit. This tour was for us over the top. We really recommend this tour!

Friday Night Vatican Tour with Aperitif Buffet

Wow is just the only term that comes to mind after the tour we had last Friday night. After a little miscommunication about the meeting place we met Luciano, our well informed and enthusiastic guide just outside the museums. We were the only participants of the tour so we had our own private guide! As we visited the Vatican gardens earlier in the day, we had a good impression how crowded the entrance and museums can be. Compared to that the evening is extinct! We were guided to the Pinecone courtyard where the buffet and concert were going on. After this we had about 2 hours before closing time. Luciano guided us through the museums and at some moments we had a Gallery for ourselves! Luciano could answer every silly question we could fire at him and because he knew most of the guards he could arrange for us to shoot very beautiful pictures from out of the windows. At closing time we were one of the last people to leave the Sistine Chapel.
