We have a green flag with the EcoArt logo.

  • What’s the proper dress code for the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel?

The dress code primarily focuses on covering knees and shoulders for both men and women. For men, this means wearing long pants or trousers and a shirt that covers the shoulders. T-shirts, tank tops, and sleeveless shirts are not considered appropriate attire for entry. • Is the Basilica’s Dome included in the tour?

The Dome is not included in our guided tour. To climb St. Peter's Dome, you will need a specific ticket that costs around 10€ if you use the elevator, 8€ if you choose the steps. You must purchase it directly at the entrance, which is close to the Basilica's entrance.

  • What if we bring a stroller with us?

There is no problem if you have a stroller. However, we advise against it due to the presence of numerous stairs throughout the Vatican complex. You are welcome to bring it with you if you prefer, however navigating the stairs with a stroller might be challenging and inconvenient.

  • Can we rent a wheelchair?

If there is a need to rent a wheelchair, you can do so free of charge within the Museums. However, in this case, it would no longer be possible to follow the guided tour since the recommended route for people with mobility issues differs from the path taken by guided group tours.

  • If I have a wheelchair or a scooter, can I enter the museums?

The Museums are accessible to visitors on mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs. However, due to space constraints, access or use may not be permitted in some museum areas. Please note that documentation may be required for the latter.

  • In which cases do I have access to a free ticket?

  • Where’s the ending point of the tour?

The tour usually ends in San Peter’s square, when the Basilica access is available. If you have purchesed the escorted entrance with the option “just ticket”, the visit ends with the Sistine Chapel and the exit door leads to the entrance.
