In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

Amazing place really informative tour guide completely worth not standing in the extremely long lines we walked past

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Wonderful time at the Vatican

The early access was absolutely worth it to get ahead of the crowds and have room to breathe while taking in the art and history at the Vatican Janette showed us around with fantastic insights and humor and consideration die the high temperatures Definitely the best tour during my Rome trip

Buy the skip the line pass its worth it

Fredericka was an excellent tour guide Vatican City is very busy She was able to lead with confidence of a tour mother our group and made listening to her talk throughout the tour was very engaging 1010 She was very knowledgeable about the art Getting the skip the line pass was worth the extra money

Engaging fun and entertaining

A great tour which was very in depth More so on artwork in the Vatican rather than the history of the Vatican I would have enjoyed some more general history also but still interesting nonetheless Our tour guide was engaging and entertaining Whilst some jokes started to feel slightly personal and kind of got a bit tacky and old she was still very passionate and wonderful company for the tour I would recommend if you would like a full tour of the Vatican however keep in mind that a lot of the museum does get missed due to them trying to get you to the Basilica on time The end is worth it however Be prepared for lots of walking I have to give props to our guide who was on crutches She made her way through the entire thing on them things and didnt cut corners True dedication in the high heat of August

Excellent tour of the Vatican museums and the Sistine chapel

Laura was amazing so knowledgable about all the pieces of art and had a great personality that made the tour really fun Meet and greet was easy Dedicated bathroom breaks and places to stop in a breeze or in the shade At the end of the tour you come out of the Sistine chapel right near the entrance to St Peters basilica so we could head straight in skipping the queue and security Would definitely recommend
