In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.

Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Great Tour

Wonderful tour Rosalba was incredibly knowledgeable and a phenomenal guide The line is horrendous so it was ideal to skip most of it for both the Vatican and the Basilica tour did not include the Basilica but you skip the line to walk in which was perfect Highly recommend

Brilliant guide brought the Vatican to life

Polina our guide was knowledgeable and took great care of us it was wonderful to understand the context and history Skipping the lines in the heat was essential with teenagers who loved the experience and soaked up all there was to see in their first time in Rome Ive never done guided tours before but Id highly recommend as there is so much to see we would have missed so much and not understood the rich history of how the Vatican has become what it is today Make sure you send a postcard afterwards as a separate country the Vatican has its own stamps

Giuseppe was a great tour guide You could tell he was a professional and could answer any questions put to him He created a good atmosphere and made the experience light hearted as well as educational Id love to hire him to follow me around Rome Id know it all by the time I left

Vatican tour with teens

Thank you Giuseppe for a great tour of the Vatican and the Sistine chapel We had two teenagers with us and we all learned a ton Just the right amount of information and highlights as we explored this amazing piece of history So very hot in August but still worth every minute

Perfect Vatican Tour

Riccardo was an excellent guide He clearly wasnt just reading from a script he had passion for his subject The tour moved at a good balanced pace fast enough to see lots and not get bored yet slow enough to appreciate the sights It was about 75 indoors which was blessing in the heat I would definitely reccommend this tour
