In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Worth It for the Experience but Be Ready for a Fast Pace

I highly recommend buying your ticket online in advance otherwise you may end up waiting in line for quite a while If you are considering a guided tour we had Martina who is very knowledgeable and genuinely funny I really appreciated that she didnt just focus on sharing information but also brought a sense of lightness to the whole experience She is very attentive to everyone and makes sure no one falls behind The Vatican Museums are huge There is so much to see that you could easily spend hours there If you prefer to explore at your own pace without feeling pressured to keep up with a group then a guided tour might not be the best option However I really enjoyed hearing the history and seeing everything come to life in front of me That said it is impossible to take everything in especially since guided tours run on a schedule and are timesensitive

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. THE VATICAN TOUR

My husband and I booked the fast track Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basillica tour. The tour was organized and started on time which was great. Stephano was our guide. He was very knowledgeable and kept things interesting, with a great sense of humour. The Vatican is exceptionally crowded, it was good to have someone take us around and provide insight into the art, history and religion.

Tour Schneller Zugang zu den Vatikanischen Museen, Sixtinische Kapelle und Petersdom mit Chiara

Wir waren das erste Mal in Rom und sehr gespannt auf die Tour durch den Vatikan. Unsere Erwartungen wurden bei weitem Ã¼bertroffen. Die Tour war bestens vorbereitet. Wir wurden pÃ¼nktlich an unsrerem Treffpunkt abgeholt. Chiara fÃ¼hrte uns dann Ã¼ber 3 Stunden durch das Museum, die sixtinische Kapelle bis in den Petersdom. Chaira arbeitet im Vatikan, dass sich Ã¼ber die ganze FÃ¼hrung sehr positiv wiederspiegelte (sehr sachkundig und freundlich). Sie ist mit Leib und Seele dabei. Wir waren nur 5 Personen bei der FÃ¼hrung, was natÃ¼rlich super war. Auch Fotos von unserer kleinen Gruppe hat Sie super gemacht. Wir kÃ¶nnen diese Tour mit Chiara jedem weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank an EcoTravel und Chiara.

SUPERB TOUR

Ricardo was our guide. He spoke excellent English and was very knowledgable. The tour was well organised, left on time, and the fast track access was well worth it. We were through security and starting the tour in a few minutes. Ricardo left us inside the Basilica so we had the opportunity to climb the Basilica if we wanted before exiting the Vatican City. Good value for money and highly recommend this company.

ACTUALLY FAMILY OF MARRIED CHILDREN

Definitely must visit the Vatican when in Rome. If possible do not go in July and August! It is a must see , whether for religious, spiritual or artistic reason. The varied art works, tapestries, sculptures, paintings, beside the famed Sistine Chapel are breathtaking . Taking a tour helped reel in and explain all there was to experience. Our first visit to Rome were three hour tours of the Vatican and colosseum during a heat wave. Would do it again! Do plan and book skip the line !!
