In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries,;Gallery of the Maps, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

what a wunderful and exciting tour!

If you may think, a tour through the vatican in 3,5 hours must be long and boring, come to rome, book a tour by ecoart and have the lucky punch to meet Francesca. After the 3,5 hours with an amusing and absoulutly well educating tourguide, you would wish to have 3 more. Francesca known absolute everythink about every simply stone and could talk about with an astonish, exciting and kindly nature. EcoArt is 150 percent costumer-frendly and have a first-class service! For example, a short email on the tour-day with last informtion. I appreciated this service verry much and you will it do also!

perfect, perfect, perfect!

Eco Art Travel deserves at least 5 points or more, only for their costumer service! I got an extra E-Mail with the details one day before the tour and in the morning of the tour they even called me on the phone to ask me if it was okay for me that instead of 10 people there would be 17 people in the group. Our tour guide was Francesca and she was simply great! She was enthusiastic, witty, full of energy and simply KNEW EVERYTHING! Her English was perfect and in about 3,5 hours she gives you a full overview of the Vatican history and all its liitle secrets. That is sometimes a bit too much Information... But I can fully recommend to take this tour with EcoArt and Francesca! If I could I would give more than just 5 points!

Good tour

Good tour with a manageable group. The guide Francesca is very knowledgeable. There is so much to see!! You could easily go back 3 or 4 times and probably still not see everything. It does get very crowded so be warned you will be shuffling around in queues for much of the time. Thanks Francesca for a great morning.

Group tour with Julia

This tour was absolutely fabulous and so well coordinated. My wife, 2 sons (10 & 6yrs), and I were extremely pleased with the very informative guided tour and highly recommend it. Happy family.
