In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Our guide Stefano was very entertaining The Vatican Museum is overwhelming and he managed to capture our attention during the entire time I recommend bringing a fan because it can get hot in some areas of the museum since theres a lack of air conditioning But overall it was a very informative and memorable tour

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries,;Gallery of the Maps, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Fantastic tour

We booked with viator and the process was simple We found our tour guide easily although the area was busy Our tour guide was Ricardo he was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable He explained in lots of detail and took the tour at an appropriate pace He was friendly and approachable We definitely couldnt have done the tour without a guide as we would have missed a LOT Thank you Ricardo we had a great time

Directions on where to meet up with excellent Guide was understandable Given the crowds and the heat it was a nice tour One problem with the guides talk was I heard a lot of static in my ear piece which made me think I was missing something important

An amazing experience

Ilaria the tour guide was an absolute gem We loved her and her knowledge with impeccable Her classic Italian charm that she used throughout the tour made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience that was well thought out and worthy of even a second visit for people who catch the Rome bug

We had Eddy as our tour guide He was very informative and funny We learned a lot of behind the scene information Had a great time

Great value

Even though it was very hot our guide was able to find shade while giving his information Skip the line was a life saver We were able to go right from the Sistine Chapel into the entrance line for St Peters The regular line to enter St Peters at 1100 was 112 hours long
