In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Worth the trip

Tour guide was exceptional everyone needs to tour the Vatican in their lifetime Not much you can do about the heat in July

An exceptional tour

The Vatican and Sistine Chapel tour was truly amazing What made it even more special was our guide Laura She was exceptional and her extensive knowledge was on full display We couldnt have asked for a better guide She was on a whole other level A true art lover and historian The chapel itself and its history are awe inspiring I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who appreciates art history and culture It was a feast for the eyes Our guide made the experience even more memorable Thank you Laura That was incredible

Great way to navigate tremendous crowds without compromising the visit

Very informative tour that helped navigate the enormous crowds of The Vatican Frederico our guide was great He helped us make the most of our time gave us a broad historical perspective on many of the Vaticans most famous sights Being an archaeologist he provided very insightful takes on many of the relics within the museums and Sistine Chapel He also went above beyond in helping a young family navigate the many stairs w TWO strollers I dont think we could have made it through without his guidance The crowds alone would have been too much Thanks great tour

Wonderful tour guide

Assunta was wonderful We had a lovely tour of the Vatican museums and the sistene chapel and finished in St Peters basilica which we could explore on our own Assunta was very knowledgeable and able to answer our many questions I was worried about feeling rushed but that was not our experience at all I felt like she curated our experience well and we had time to appreciate all that we saw Highly recommend
