In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Very happy with the tour

We loved the tour and our guide Fred was wonderful He was friendly insightful knowledgeable humorous With such a massive place youre obviously going to miss things and we felt Fred focused on many of the most significant details and even featured some quirky interesting facts including a mention of our home state as it related to one of the museums pieces It was an amazing tour and we felt the length of time was perfect After getting dropped off at the Vatican via the direct access stairs and allowed to explore on our own we were tired and ready for lunch Thank you EcoArt and Fred for an incredible morning

Beyond expectations

Great tour with Priscilla in the Borghese Gallery

Priscilla made our experience in the gallery much better I was with my boyfriend who isnt really interested in art but despite that found our tour fascinating We loved Priscillas way to present information it wasnt boring description of masterpieces but explanations of historical background as well We found out a lot about Borghese family and Popes role in culture I wish we had more tours with EcoArt

Wonderful tour at the colosseum Roman forum palentine hill

Our guide Maria was amazing and the whole tour was wonderful We didnt have to wait in any lines she even knew the better water and bathrooms stops that were less crowded It was super hot but she was great at keeping us in the shade Our 4 teens loved it as well which tells you something lol Ecotour office was great and efficient as well
