In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Borghese Gallery Tour

We really enjoyed the tour Irene was our guide and she was knowledgeable about all of the art and made sure we got to see everything that we were interested in I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone who is interested in art and history

Exceptional Vatican Tour Experience with Martina

I recently participated in a SemiPrivate Vatican Tour with The Tour Guy and despite the unexpected closure of the Sistine Chapel due to the papal conclave the experience was outstanding Our guide Martina was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate bringing the rich history and art of the Vatican Museums to life with her engaging storytelling Martinas ability to adapt the tour and maintain a captivating atmosphere even without access to the Sistine Chapel was truly impressive Her insights and enthusiasm made the tour a highlight of my trip to Rome I highly recommend this tour and Martina to anyone visiting the Vatican Her expertise and dedication ensured an unforgettable experience even amidst unforeseen circumstances

The tour was enjoyable

The tour was enjoyable We had Ricardo as our guide He was very knowledgeable however unfortunately he had a VERY strong accent so a lot of his explanations we found hard to understand Getting access to areas where ancient Romans once walked was incredible The colosseum is an amazing building hearing about its history was very interesting We just wish we could understand our guide a bit better
