In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Amazing tour must book

Really informative interesting tour Polina our tour guide was funny and knowledgable and made the museum visit so easy and enjoyable We have now decided to always do a tour when we go to museums because of her We learnt so much that we wouldnt have known without a tour guide and its really worth the money Highlight of our holiday Thank you Polina

Whistle stop tour of the Vatican museum

We really enjoyed Giuseppes tour I felt quite overwhelmed by the volume of incredible art work sculptures mosaics and more on display Giuseppe kept us focused on key items I wish wed had longer with him as I suspect his knowledge on these treasure runs far deeper than the tour time allows I would thoroughly recommend EcoArt yours 5s Giuseppe

The Vatican Museums are

The Vatican Museums are very interesting and a lot to see and take in The Sistine Chapel is unbelievably beautiful and was quite emotional for us However both the museums and chapel are extremely busy to the point where it was hard to move in the Sistine Chapel But the tour is the best way to see the museums and Chapel Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable also

Monday at the Vatican

Our tour was originally cancelled because it was scheduled for April 26 the day of pope Franciss funeral Luckily we were able to go on the following Monday Our guide Ciara was wonderful She guided us through incredible crowds and managed to keep us all together and interested I was struck by her enthusiasm and knowledge of the artwork and history all around us Thank you for a wonderful tour Ciara and Viator Note make sure you use the toilet before and bring water with you
