In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

An informative yet fun way to explore the Vaticans masterpieces

Nicoletta was brilliant Very knowledgeable and friendly Her way of explaining the art was laid back and very interesting We would have missed so many important pieces of information without her The meeting point point was easy to find for us and the whole experience was very considered and thoughtful Cannot recommend highly enough Thank you Brad and Jess

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Sara was exceptional and gave us a lot of information that would have been missed using an audio tour or guidebook I am sure we got so much more out of our Vatican experience because we had Sara leading us through

Good overall

Tour was well organized and meeting location was easy to find Monica was very knowledgeable and friendly however we had a hard time understanding her and therefore missed a lot of the information she was trying o convey

Great Tour with Wonderful Tour Guide

We had a wonderful tour of the Vatican with Laura Our group was small and our guide Laura was polite professional and very interesting The tour was just the right amount of time and the early start was less crowded Laura was very knowledgeable but her way of explaining made information fun Highly recommend

Sehr souveräne Führung mit vielen kleinen interessanten Details

Auch wenn ich jetzt nicht soooo auf vatikanische Museen stehe von denen es aber ganz viele gab bevor es dann endlich in die Sixtinische Kapelle ging war es doch kurzweilig Darüberhinaus hatten wir einen sehr lebendig erzählenden und gut Englisch sprechenden Italiener als Guide der uns angesichts der Masse an Bildern Skulpturen Fresken und Co sehr interessante Dinge herausgepickt hat

A guide is your best experience for knowledge and getting through the security checks and lines

I highly recommend going on a tour just skipping the line was the best Even with tours there are lines but they move fast and efficiently Having someone who knows how to move through the security and controls is priceless The tour guides Are totally professional and know their stuff and I love hearing the history and side stories of various depictions paintings and sculptures We found that doing the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was enough for one day 2 12 hours The previous day we did St Peters Basilica a one hour tour with guide and you could stay on as long as you wanted Then on to Coliseum later in afternoon I recommend not booking anything your first full day and walk the neighborhoods and take in the atmosphere you are tired from long flights We found early morning tours suited us 830 am best but tours are all day long Do it right and go with these guides perfect
