This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Skip the Line Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel tour The tour was on point informative and interesting Our guide was Serena Her voice is easy to listen to and she added humor to the presentation She kept my attention with a blend of facts and curiosity It was extremely crowded even in early October but the temperatures were comfortable At times it feels like a cattle call while visiting the Vatican and this diminished the sacredness of the place But I still highly recommend EcoTours as worth the money

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries,;Gallery of the Maps, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Best Tour on Trip so far

EcoArt was a fantastic asset to our time in Rome We had a tour guide who was genuine charismatic friendly charming and most of all incredibly capable intelligent in her subject Must do Highly recommend its been our favorite experience so far

Our guide for the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel was absolutely fantastic We think his name was Andrea and what really stuck with us about him was that he mentioned being the second oldest body piercer in Rome He was extremely knowledgeable engaging and ensured that we got the most out of our visit never rushing and always making sure we felt our time and money were well spent His mix of expertise and personality made the experience unforgettable Highly recommend him

Amazing experience

Riccardo was an excellent tour guide so incredibly knowledgeable and got us through the crowds so quickly It was an unbelievable experience to see the coliseum and I would certainly recommend a guide rather than trying to do it on your own as you learn so much more It was certainly worth every cent
