In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

We had an amazing tour walking through the Vatican Museums and seeing the Sistine Chapel After seeing the Sistine Chapel we were able to get skip the line access into St Peters after the tour Trust me you definitely wont want to wait in the security line in order to get into St Peters without the skip the line access Our tour guide was Maria Laura and she was phenomenal She was the most knowledgeable tour guide Ive ever had She took the time to explain so many facts that werent common knowledge she had expert interpretations on the artwork and she was an entertaining and genuine person If you have an option to choose a guide choose her

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.


This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.


When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Daily except Sunday

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Would do it again!

We enjoyed the tour by Gioseppe seeing the beautiful works of art so beautifully kept. It is quite overwhelming!

Vatican Tour

Visited the Vatican and booked through Viator. Our tour guide Lindy was outstanding. We enjoyed the whole tour and was well worth the price we paid. Lindy was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The tour was around 3 hours and we were glad we booked due to how busy it was. Lindy answered questions during the tour. Would definitely recommend and thank you Lindy.

Competent and engaging tour guide, fun for all in the family.

Jeanette, our tour guide was the best. I found her to be really funny and engaging. With the addition of skip the line access, we wasted no time visiting the rooms and the chapel itself. 100% recommend.

Amazing tour with an amazing tour guide

We thoroughly enjoyed our guided tour of the Vatican with Sara from EcoArt. We arrived an hour early for our tour and even though we didn’t mind waiting, Sarah kindly included us into her group. Her knowledge blew us away. Highly recommend this. Thank you Sara.

Our tour guide was Lindy. We highly recommend doing a tour with her, she was able to explain all great attractions and answer any questions we had. She made the tour a pleasurable one and we genuinely enjoyed our time. This is a must see and must do for first timers in Rome.
