In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Marcelo made an overcrowded Vatican great

You could not have done this adventure without a guide due in large part to extensive crowds for Jubilee But Marcelo was extra informative being native from Rome spoke great English and seemed to know all the guards and staff throughout the museum

Exceeded my expectations

I was initially reluctant to buy a tour as I like to go at my own pace However all the tickets were sold out so had a tour with EcoArt Travel Frederica our guide was simply marvellous and I am so pleased to have taken this option Her knowledge and enthusiasm brought everything to life and ensured that we left with a much greater understanding of the art and the history surrounding it I cant praise Frederica highly enough The gallery has a vast collection and the visiting period is restricted hence it helped to have a guide to make sure that we saw the key pieces in the gallery I was left wishing I could stay and explore further but this was not possible due to gallery restrictions If visiting Rome is September all sites are extremely busy and it is important to have this in mind

Great experience

Met guide at designated time Got in shorter line to enter line moved quickly Once inside guide gave an overview of what we would see and gave us extra insight of little things to look for in some of the paintings Our guide Laura was very knowledgeable and really enjoyed talking about the paintings and what the artist might have been thinking about when adding people or things to the work
