In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries,;Gallery of the Maps, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Daily except Sunday

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

If you have just one chance to see the Vatican book this tour

We booked the Vatican Small Group Stories tour of the Museum and Sistine Chapel and had the immense good fortune of having Oscar as our guide From the moment we met him at the assigned spot he began the tour making us feel comfortable and relaxed His positive and assured manner hit just the right tone with us He was knowledgeable without being pedantic making us feel we had all the resources to understand and appreciate all we saw We took other tours during our stay and we were amazed at how often we said to one another That was something Oscar talked about or Oscar showed us a painting of that event The time flew by so quickly and we really felt like we had learned so much about the building the people the history and the artistic furnishings of the Vatican Book this tour especially if you have only one chance to see the Vatican

Excellent from start to finish

We loved the tour of the Vatican Sabina our tour guide was welcoming fun and articulate She explained everything in thorough detail her knowledge was incredible and she was engaging with a Greta sense of humour We loved her and the tour

Catalina is great but no direct access to to the st Pieter Cathedral
