In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Vatican experience

everything was wonderful our tour guide Assunta was very friendly and ready to help with any of our questions actually having priority in the tour lines was very good as there were a lot of people waiting thank you for the beautiful experience

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Riccardo was a wonderful guide through the Vatican

Riccardo was a wonderful guide through the Vatican Id definitely recommend him and EcoArt With so many people in tight spaces Im sure its not easy to lead groups through but he did a great job He was knowledgeable and engaging He kept us going at a pretty fast clip and if Id been on my own I wouldve lingered a little longer in certain spots But you have to go with the flow of foot traffic so I understood He took us into side rooms and showed us special spots that I dont think everyone knows to seek out He also gave us plenty of time before we went into the Sistine Chapel for bathroom breaks and clearly communicated where to meet Even though we were in a crowd once we got inside the Chapel I didnt feel rushed or jostled I know theres probably a lot more to the Vatican Museums that we didnt get to see All the tours seem to hit the same highlights But what we saw was incredible And after 25 hours on your feet it was nice to take a break outside and then have easy access into St Peters Basilica with our tour group Hopefully Ill get back to the Vatican Museums someday to see the rest

Great Experience with Riccardo and EcoArt

Entertaining day in the Vatican

We had a great overall experience with Ahmed our guide for a recent EcoArt tour of the Sistine Chapel and Vatican Museum Everything was well organized from the instructions for the meeting spot to the handing out of audio devices the eventual entry into the museum and the navigation throughout But what we most appreciated about Ahmed was his storytelling often peppered with humorous or sarcastic asides He didnt overdo it on the information and rather carefully chose which artifacts tapestries and paintings to gather around and succinctly tell the relevant story with a focus on the human element We learned a lot about Rafael Michelangelo and their antagonistic relationship with each other As a student of archeology Ahmed always had answers whenever he was asked a question and this knowledge combined with a penchant for storytelling in his rich Scottish burr made for an excellent tour
