In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Guide was very parient ams knowledgeable It was obvious shevhad been doong tours dor uears as shevwahs ver y orofessional and was constantly weaving in information and stories all whille making sure we were comfortable and not overwhelmed

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

We had an amazing tour of the Vatican Museums St Peters Square the Basilica and the Sistine Chapel with Maria Laura Shes incredibly knowledgeable and brought history to life with a fun modern approach that kept us all engaged My wife is pregnant and while she had no trouble with the tours pace Maria Laura was clearly attentive to her comfort making sure she was cared for without drawing attention or disrupting the group In fact I dont think anyone even noticed Skipping lines and enjoying every stop without feeling rushed made this experience truly special Highly recommend

Hobsons Choice

The organisation through EcoArt was first class and our guide Oscar very knowledgable However brace yourselves for the number of people in the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel they are crowded beyond anything you may have seen in any other museum anywhere There is so much to see and of such quality art sculpture Roman Greek Etruscan Eygptian but you cant stop and look you have to move with the crowd Its Hobsons choice buy your own ticket with the expectation of queuing for hours to get in but then move at the pace you choose or skip the queue ie join a queue of hundreds not thousands with a guide but loose the opportunity to stop and stare
