My father and I did this tour with the fantastic tour guide Marcello

My father and I did this tour with the fantastic tour guide Marcello The areas we got to see were fantastic and the commentary Marcello gave throughout was informative and understandable He had visual prompts he bought with him to show us to help add further detail and he answered all our additional questions At no point did we feel rushed which can be tricky in such a busy museum I would 100 recommend this tour to anyone visiting Rome and hopefully youre lucky enough to get Marcello worth adding I did a similar tour 2 years ago with a different company but this tour was hundreds of times better

Wonderful experience for the whole family

We did this tour during a busy holiday week in Rome Ilaria was an amazing guide She knew so much about everything I would have loved to spend the whole day picking her brain about all of the history in the Vatican Museums and St Peters We had a very small group only six people total which was incredible considering some of the groups had up to 30 people in them We were able to move around the crowds pretty quickly Ilaria also took the time to explain the Sistine Chapel in detail and gave us a beautiful print of the artwork so we could see it up close before we went into the room I was very happy she did this because there is supposed to be silence in this sacred place Unfortunately not everyone had the same respect for this holy place Lots of people talking and trying to take photos also not allowed Many other guides were talking to their groups in the chapel despite being repeatedly asked to stop I was very glad that our guide did not do that Definitely take the opportunity to visit the basilica after your tour It was nice to be able to walk right in and bypass the huge line
