In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Our family group enjoyed our tour highly recommend

Our family of 11 highly enjoyed our Vatican Museum Tour with Sara Sara was very caring with a positive energy and you could see her passion and knowledge throughout the tour She was also able to accommodate our family member at the last minute needing a wheelchair We learned so much and had a better understanding of all the beautiful artworks and history and it was definitely a memorable experience for all of us Thank you Sara we enjoyed our time with you very much

Well worth it

It was so good We had 25 hours and we got to see a bit of everything George was our guide and he was great Knew loads of info and was very entertaining Skipping all the lines was great and I really enjoyed the trip

Excellent guide

The tour itself was very good informative etc It was just so very busy which I suppose is the norm I wish we had more time to explore some parts of the exhibits Our guide was very good

Maria Laura Laura to the group was absolutely wonderful Her depth of knowledge was endless and very informative Her personality and sense of humor also made for a great visit to the museums And how she kept track of the 20person group was extra impressive

Great tour guide plus skipping the long lines

Tour was 100 worth it We originally bought it because we wanted to skip the lines and get into the basilica without waiting But it turns out our tour guide was super funny knowledgeable and helpful he made the experience super rewarding He even uses a little plush dragon on his flag to lead you around
