This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Vatican Sistine chapel and St Peters Bascillica tour

Our tour today was amazing would definitely advise the skip the line tour in this heat as we swept past people queuing for hours Our guide Guissepe was very knowledgeable and entertaining His stories and the information he gave us about the artwork statues and buildings made it all come to life

The most beautiful place I have ever been

I visited the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel with my wife and 11yr old son We knew that the Vatican and Sistine Chapel are a very Religious place steeped in history and could not be missed during our trip to Rome However our expectations were blown out of the water The architecture art works and sculptures were absolutely stunning The garden on the grounds is beautiful and each part you view you think will be the nicest but it continues to deliver all the way through to the end in the Sistine Chapel Photos can be taken throughout for memories except in the Chapel We have visited some historic houses etc but this stands head and shoulders above I was brought up in the catholic faith but my wife was not She enjoyed the visit as much as me if not a slight bit more We highly recommend pre booking tickets before you go as the line was hours long in 38 degrees heat but luckily we had pre booked Also make sure that you take a drink in with you as you will need it We spent 4hrs looking around There is a nice cafe on the middle which is not expensive too You need to show your passport on the way in to the museums so make sure you take it with you

Wonderful time at the Vatican

The early access was absolutely worth it to get ahead of the crowds and have room to breathe while taking in the art and history at the Vatican Janette showed us around with fantastic insights and humor and consideration die the high temperatures Definitely the best tour during my Rome trip
