In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Compelling tour

Very informative tour delving into the history of the second of the three Romes the Popes of Rome Our guide was excellent extremely knowledgeable and a very good communicator Covered everything from the history of the museum the purpose of the gardens history of the Cistine Chapel and onto Raphaels frescos Thoroughly recompend

The Eco Art team were very friendly and our tour guide Sebastian was knowledgeable and witty He engaged with us throughout the tour We had a wonderful morning and would book again As I had been let down by a different tour company in 2022 for the same tour I was anxious no one would be there to meet us but they were band on time exactly where they said they would be 55

Once in a lifetime experience

We absolutely loved this tour and we got to see and do so much Our group tour turned into a private one because another family never showed but that was a happy accident possibly a miracle We came during the low season in January We got a knowledgeable tour guide who has a degree in art history and we learned about so many artworks throughout the museum We got to see the Sistine chapel St Peters square and you get a discount in one of the gift shops for going on the tour There we mailed special post cards with exclusive stamps directly from the Vatican to family back home I highly recommend you take this tour and if you do please be punctual The security is strict and you must arrive at your scheduled time to be able to enter the museum
