In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.

Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Worth the time and money but plan ahead

Completely worth the early morning 8a tour schedule and the cost of the skip the line option Our guide moved us smoothly past long lines and through rooms and rooms of absolutely breathtaking opulence art and architecture in the Vatican Museum While personal space at the Museum and Sistine Chapel was limited we did not feel like we we terribly rushed or packed in so tightly that we could barely move although the Sistine Chapel is small and it can get tight But if you have the right attitude its a great experience Our guide gave us a lot of things to look for in the Chapel paintings before going in but guides are not allowed to speak while there Be sure to allow several hours of free time afterward to wander around St Peters Basilica

Great experience

I was slightly concerned about the ease of finding our group but the company gave wonderful ad easytofollow instructions for meeting our tour guide Assunta our guide was fantastic She was knowledgeable about the incredible array or art we saw had very interesting tidbits to share and was skilled at navigating a group through a sea of humanity Well done My only complaint is that we were not able to stay in the museum longer to explore portions not covered by our tour

Great tour

Polina was our guide and did an excellent job explaining all the important pieces in the Vatican and Sistine Chapel and always answered any questions anyone had Being pregnant I was having a hard time on the tour as I have been having fainting spells and of course that kicked into full gear during the tour Polina was very accommodating and let me sitrest whenever there was a chance as this tour is lots of walking and standing It was a beautiful tour and we left feeling like we learned a lot

My wife and I went to see the Vatican mainly for the art and architecture and the history Our tour guide Sarah was knowledgeable and superqualified She did a brilliant job of explaining it all in an entertaining and interesting way There was never a dull moment We thoroughly enjoyed it
