In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Great tour about the Vatican art

We learned so much about the artwork of the Vatican Rosalba was highly knowledgeable about everything we saw and more She kept things interesting and guided us through a lot of people without feeling like we were being herded She gave us tips and info before we entered the Basilica not part of the tour so we would have some knowledge of what we were seeing Would recommend

Vatican Tour with Ricardo

We had Ricardo as our tour guide and he was fabulous Not only was he knowledgeable but it is a lot of information and space to cover so he kept it fun and upbeat I also appreciated him giving us time for photos and ensuring none of us got left behind

This tour is more than the sum of its parts

Im glad we opted for the small group tour for this one There were only five in the group Our guide Marcello was a master of the subject matter at hand The Vatican is so much more than St Peters and the Sistene Chaoel I am truly in awe of the space To see artwork in real time that Ive only seen in books defies description And of course seeing the Sistine Chapel in person is an experience Ill treasure for the rest of my days Ecotours has a great staff and Id definitely book with them again

Amazing once in a lifetime experience

Amazing experience I 100 guarantee this tour Im skeptical on certain tours to take since Im from US but this tour was phenomenal Our tour guide was experienced and made the experience memorable Next time I come back I will book with the same company
