In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

First class guide

Oscar was an exceptional guide five star very knowledgeable easy to listen to with a lovely sense of humour who guided us through the amazing crowds in the fascinating Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel and easily into St Peters The Vatican authorities need to take very serious steps to reduce visitor numbers by at least half as the visitor experience is appalling due to overcrowding The wonderful treasures of the museums have to be glanced at rather than properly viewed Oscar did his very best to find the small group good vantage points But the question remains how can you enjoy a normal museum visit in this hectic one way system The herding of huge numbers of visitors in the Sistine Chapel needs to be urgently addressed All that aside we had an excellent visit Wed thoroughly recommend this small group way of seeing so much in a relatively short few hours Thank you

Great tour

Exactly as promised Oscar was a great guide and efficiently got us in the museum then explained select artwork at a level to intrigue and not bore Even in early March it was a bit crowded

Vatican city tour

Just finished the Vatican city tour with Fred Fred was an excellent guide very knowledgeable and very passionate which made listening to his commentary very interesting Fred guided us smoothly through a very hectic Vatican city Thank you Fred for a most enjoyable experience
