In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

My family went on a tour of the Colloseum Forum and Palatine Hill The highlight of the tour besides of course the Colloseum was our guide Sara S who was smart lively and really made the 3 hours of tour fun and engaging Highly recommend especially if Sara is your guide

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Brought the Art to Life

Our Vatican tour was absolutely incredible Priscilla did an amazing job explaining the masterpieces and giving context and history for the art My husband and I are not typically art people but through her tour she gave us a deeper appreciation for the artists and their works I also appreciated the amount of detail she provided throughout the entire process of entering the museum and navigating the crowds talking us through the directions and any specific requirements for the Museum I also really appreciated that she brought a book along with her that showed the artwork that we would be seeing so she could explain its importance and point out the details before we saw it especially with the crowds this was extremely helpful We learned so much about the prominent artists and their masterpieces but we also discovered the details that brought them to life

Best time in the Vatican Museum

Tour operator was easy to find They provided exact directions no confusion They arrived right on time I have done the vatican museum about 3 times Illaria was the best tour guide I have had I learned way more Her explanation of the sistene chapel was very informative She was also easy to understand kept the tour on time and was very knowleable

Tour once on it was well organised

Polina from EcoArt was an excellent guide and didnt rush and made sure the tour ran well Dont book through ViaTour or Tripadvisor though Their instructions for meeting are woeful and you get hassled by scum selling cloths getting an email 3 days after the tour with details is no help at all Use Get Your Guide App
