In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Fred was really helpful and we learned a lot about the Vatican in the museum

Fred was really helpful and we learned a lot about the Vatican in the museum Although it was very pricey were glad that we took a tour as there is so much more to the paintings than it seems We will probably go on more tours with EcoArt

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Vatican museum Sistine chapel and Rafael room tour

Giuseppe our guide was excellent he kept the group moving through what was a very claustrophobic experience due to the large crowds at the Vatican museum He kept to the key art pieces and explained the art works extremely well A good litmus test is if my children remembered the details of the tour it meant the explanation was interesting and riveting enough to keep a 9yo and 11yo entertained for 3 hours

Great experience

Our guide Martina was very nice and funny I enjoyed her humor a lot I always prefer going on a tour with a local when I go to big sites because you can learn a lot more information than you can when you are by yourself just reading the signs I recommend going to a tour before 3 because the way to St Peters basilica closes at 5 so you will have to walk all the way around Overall a great time

Five Stars For Eddy

We did this tour on the hottest day of the year so far 40 degrees We were not sure how long we were going to last and expected to cut it short if it got too unbearable The tour guide Eddy was so engaging that we ended up staying for the entire tour We learnt so much it was just fantastic highly recommend

Our guide was Ella and she was fantastic and extremely knowledgeableIts a busy place but Ella was calm and patientMy advice to anyone visiting The Vatican books a guide with skip the queue as the queues outside are sooo long and the heat in July is unbearable so getting in quick is a big bonus
