This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Highly recommend joining a guided tour in Colosseum Not only does it save you time from waiting in long lines but the guide also takes you to the best photo spots We were lucky to have Maria Luisa as our guideshe was incredibly patient and attentive She often checked in to see if we had any questions and her explanations paired with visual comparisons really helped us imagine what everything looked like in the past It was absolutely worth the money The experience made us want to come back again to relive the history of Rome It was truly an unforgettable and impressive experience

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.

Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Vatican Museum St Peters Basilica

Absolute not a reflection on the guide Ricciardo who was awesome The tour was very good but the museum is so large and busy during the summer that you have to move through it fairly quickly and deal with large crowds with not as much time to admire things as you might like That said despite being busy we did have ample time in the Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica which were clearly the highlights of the tour Definitely worth doing just have reasonable expectations about what is possible in three hours in the busy summer season

Vatican tour is amazing but there is a catch

Amazing experience Excellent guide who made everything very interesting St Peters basilica and square opens at 1pm so if you dont want to wait just outside the Sistene Chapel you can go to the cafe which we did We were told you have to then reenter the Vatican and go through for a second time but we could go through short cuts That turned out to be wrong We had to work our way through large crowds in hot conditions and guards were rude when we asked about the short cuts They simply let too many people in But once through St Peters was worth doing but it tests your patience
