In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Cancellation Policy

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Amazing Tour

Ahmed was a brilliant guide The tour was well paced he had a huge knowledge but concentrated on the key items of interest He avoided the queue at security check that other tours were in and we went straight to the front This tour also gave us direct access to St Peters Basilica avoiding the huge queue outside Highly recommend

Wonderful

Our Tour guide Ruf was fantastic would not have wanted any other that we ran into along the tour Ruf was also helping others when she could and was very protective of our small group Gave us great information and directions throughout the tour Ruf was also stopping people from pushing in lines etc The tour was everything I expected and more Only negative minimal toilet and water stops

If youve never been to the Vatican and youre a novice a tour is a MUST

Iliare Hilary was our guide She was fabulous very friendly and knowledgeable Ive been to Rome once before but missed doing the Vatican and it was fantastic to learn about the painters sculptors history of the different eras and how the church fits into it all Hillary got us into all the areas and more very quickly With a guide youll skip all the queues which is soooo worth it There is so much to see it would be impossible to see it all so get the tour and if you have time you can return alone later
