In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Wonderful tour fantastic guide terrible conditions in the museum

Sabrina was an incredible guide Her knowledge was outstanding and she did an excellent job explaining everything She is a 5 star guide Our reason for the 4 star rating is 1 We had upgraded our tour to small group in this case and unfortunately this meant 10 people making it impossible to go at the speed our children needed 2 The Vatican museums are beautiful but insanely hot unairconditioned for 90 and shouldertoshoulder busy There is no place to stop and get water and you are not permitted to sit anywhere This makes it really difficult to take any time to appreciate the art and all of us returned home feeling dehydrated and with headache after the tour even through we had brought 1 litre of water per person This had nothing to do with EcoArt or Sabrina

Best way to see the Vatican

Our tour guide Maria was amazing I dont know how she kept the group of 12 people together but she was very professional and made sure no one got separated from our tour The Vatican was extremely crowded but Maria made the experience an enjoyable onedespite how busy it was The tour included The Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica which was awe inspiring I highly recommend Skip the Line as not having booked this tour we would have been with the hundreds of people waiting in 90 degree weather for hours just to get in Literally wrapped around the building Book the tour

Fantastic

Had a great time on this tour of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel Our guide Adriano was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the art and treasures within He spent time showing us what to look for when we got into the Sistine Chapel and he led us through some amazing sights in the museums I really enjoyed my time on this tour and would definitely recommend it and Adriano to anyone

Great way to get inside

Met at business address and was taken directly to inside the Vatican museum buy English speaking guide Considering the 1000s of people i really can not see a more efficient way of getting in to the Vatican especially when the temp was 40c on the day we visited My advise is not to but a scarf from the street sellers as they are provided outside the basilica where they are required We saw lots of people in short shorts and open shoulders and none of them were refused entry
