Ideal for first-timers to the Vatican, this tour covers the Vatican Museums; Sistine Chapel, including, but not limited to, the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps.

At the conclusion of your tour, if you have chosen an option that explicitly includes it, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, where you will be free to explore on your own.

We had a fantastic tour with Assunta She gave us a very detailed tour of the Vatican museums something you have to spend ages in a queue to visit Assunta took her time and told us so much interesting information and left us to spend time along in the Sistine Chapel

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.


Ending Point

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica (depending on option selected)

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Choose an option that includes Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica to enjoy a direct route from the Vatican Museums. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums.


Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Daily except Sunday

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.

    • Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date.     Skip the line Vatican and Basilica tour

    Absolutely amazing tour Our guide Asunta was fabulous she was so organised knew everything about Vatican chapels and we didnt have to wait anywhere despite the huge crowds outside Vatican waiting in long lines I would recommend this tour to everyone you dont have to be particularly fit to complete whole tour and what you see inside words cant describe Asunta even managed to get our group to St Peters Basilica without any wait We really enjoyed the day and all the beautiful buildings sculptures and paintings together with the background stories from our tour guide

    Martina was an amazing guide She has a way of sharing information that makes it interesting as well as informative We learned new things about the Vatican that we would never have know had we not had a guide

    Best thing we did in all our time in Italy

    We had an amazing experience on this tour We had guided tours for other sites and felt they were not really needed This tour needs a guide to really get the history and emotional impacts of all these sites Our guide Giuseppe we absolutely amazing He is so knowledgeable and also fun to hear His personal stories mixes with the history of this beautiful place made it even better We could ask any question at any time and he would have an answer and it never bothered him He wanted the questions I cannot say enough positives about this tour and Giuseppe For my wife and I this was the best thing we did by far in all the the different sites we visited in Italy I would give 6 stars if I could

    Highly recommend this tour great experience

    This was a great tour We really enjoyed having a guide to tell us what we were looking at Our guide Fred was amazing and funny and he made the tour super fun I am so grateful we got the opportunity to go on this tour and skipping the line to the basilica saved so much time and energy from waiting in the long line and hot sun Highly recommend

    Sarah was a great guide

    Sarah our Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel guide was great Sarah was lovely very knowledgeable and informative It was a very hot day as expected in July and crowded so it was a little tough going but Sarah navigated us through the crowds and the various displays very well
