Your insider guide will optimize your visit on the day of your tour ensuring you witness the Vatican Museum's most important highlights.

Ideal for first-timers to the Vatican, this tour covers the Vatican Museums; Sistine Chapel, including, but not limited to, the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps.

At the conclusion of your tour, if you have chosen an option that explicitly includes it, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, where you will be free to explore on your own.

We had a fantastic tour with Assunta She gave us a very detailed tour of the Vatican museums something you have to spend ages in a queue to visit Assunta took her time and told us so much interesting information and left us to spend time along in the Sistine Chapel

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.


Ending Point

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica (depending on option selected)

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Choose an option that includes Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica to enjoy a direct route from the Vatican Museums. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums.


Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Daily except Sunday

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

    • Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date.     Must visit vatican tour

    amazing place to visit and even better tour Ricardo was an amazing tour guide and made the tour extremely informational and entertaining

    Interesting tour of the Vatican

    Our guide was excellent her English was very good and she was very knowledgeable and made it interesting for all of us including two boys with not a huge interest in art She navigated the crowds as well as possible and tried to keep us out of the sun Still rammed at 8am so not sure what difference the early access part made

    Very educational and enjoyable

    Martina was really really good She kept it interesting and also was very professional It was very hot but she took us to a place indoors and kept us cool and in the shade

    Paula with eco art tours Yes

    Paula was outstanding She was knowledgeable and quite polite Very helpful and accommodating Paula offered to take pictures for the 4 of us and so we got some great ones with incredible backgrounds There were no other people on the tour with us so it was very nice We skipped the main line because we were VIPs She told us when to use the restroom and get a refill on our water and made sure we stood in the shade anytime we could MUST HAVE You wont regret it I hear the normal lines could be 6 hours and we wouldnt have known any of the history that she shared either Do it
