Ideal for first-timers to the Vatican, this tour covers the Vatican Museums; Sistine Chapel, including, but not limited to, the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps.

At the conclusion of your tour, if you have chosen an option that explicitly includes it, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, where you will be free to explore on your own.

Super Vatican Tour

We had a fantastic tour with Assunta She gave us a very detailed tour of the Vatican museums something you have to spend ages in a queue to visit Assunta took her time and told us so much interesting information and left us to spend time along in the Sistine Chapel

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.


Ending Point

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica (depending on option selected)

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Choose an option that includes Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica to enjoy a direct route from the Vatican Museums. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums.


Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.

  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

    • Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date.     Vatican city is a big wow

    When we arrived we were a bit worried because of the huge crowds lined up but that was for the general admission We met our tour provider in a different area Easy to find with instructions provided after booking and were well organised After a brief explanation we were on our way with guide Oscar He explained everything well Be warned the Vatican is so crowded with tourists so dont let this dampen your experience Oscar kept on time despite some in the group holding us up with a bathroom break Make sure you go before the tour if you can There is an enormous amount to see and you wont be able to absorb it all in the 3hrs but its still worth it Oscar explained things well and his English is quite good He made some funny jokes to keep the group amused Id recommend but be prepared to be with thoiaands of others doing the same thing Well done Oscar

    Fun insightful wonderful experience

    The tour was well worth it and it was great to skip the line Our tour guide Monica was extremely knowledgeable and getting a small group tour is definitely a must as there is a lot to see There was actually just too much for a first time visit I highly recommend a group tour guide

    Great tour but dont do on a Wednesday

    Nicoletta was a great tour guide and meet up went very smooth She was very informative and shared a lot of information and kept us all together For future travellers Wednesday they close the basillica until 1pm because of the Popes service so we didnt get to do the skip the line to the basillica after the tour We could have waited after but did it the next day the line took an hour when we arrived at 930am

    Excellent tour

    Martina was a lovely enthusiastic guide and very knowledgeable We were a small group of 10 which was preferable to being in one of the much larger groups we saw during the visit so worth the extra It was great to have priority access to the Basilica too We just wished we had the energy to climb the dome too Next time
