About the tour

Explore Rome's secret island, Ponza, on a day trip departing from central Rome. Avoid crowded, lacklustre beaches near Rome and enjoy crystal-clear waters 30 nautical miles away in Ponza.

The ferry to Ponza, costing 60 euros (not included, payable at check-in), departs from Anzio, offering a 1.5-hour ride. Upon arrival in Ponza, take a brief break for breakfast and board an excursion boat for an exhilirating 5-hour circumnavigation of Ponza. Discover hidden coves, gravity-defying rock formations, and blue grottoes while your expert tour leader translates the Italian commentary. Make 4-5 stops for swimming and snorkeling, and enjoy a pasta lunch freshly prepared by the captain and served on board, picnic style.

The boat excursion ends at 4:00 PM, providing an hour of free time in Ponza's lively port to enjoy an ice cream or a spritz, or to shop. Board the return ferry to Anzio, reaching central Rome just before 9:00 PM. This organized tour handles logistics, ensuring a worry-free experience.

Opt for the "with snorkel" option to receive your own set of gear, or choose a private experience with hotel pick-up, a guide, skipper, and a private boat. For the private excursion, lunch is not included but can be purchased in the port and brought on board or you can schedule a lunch stop at a restaurant. Ferry tickets for the private experience cost an additional 60 euros (paid at check-in).

Itinerary

Starting Point

We meet front of Caffè Cestia in Piazza di Porta San Paolo 1. Please note that above the bar the sign says “BAR PIRAMIDE” and not Caffè Cestia. The caffè is located to the left of OTTICA PIRAMIDE. Look for our representative wearing the color bright green and carrying a flag with the EcoArt logo.The cafè is open in the early mornings. The closest metro stop is the Line B - Piramide station.

The trip was all day bus to bus to ferry to day trip shipand back again WORTH IT The Island was stunning tour guide was knowledgeable and there for us we have been all over the Caribbeanponza had the bluest clearest and cleanest water I ever experienced toured swam ate traveledand took i the most beautiful location

After walking the hot streets of Rome Ponza was a great place to cool down with a swim around the Island

Perhaps one of the prettiest places Ive ever been Was favorite part of my visit to Rome even though technically it is not Rome

Incredible and Unique Island experience from Rome

The entire experience was extraordinary and we have our super guide Riccardo to thank He gave us a great overview of what to expect and communicated in perfect English and Italian He provided a great amount of information and history and then once on the island the view and water was unmatched it felt like a lesser known Amalfi coast experience The pasta on board was also delish Highly recommend my two tween boys loved it too

La gita merita veramente Una giornata in barca con fermate in diverse calette e bagni veramente molto belli Atmosfera molto piacevole ed è un ottimo modo per vedere lisola UN CONSIGLIO NON PRENOTATE VON TRIPADVISOR MA PRENDETE IL BIGLIETTI DIRETTAMENTE A PONZA Noi tramite Tripadvisor abbiamo pagato 75 euro a persona mentre sul posto tutti hanno pagato 42 euro a persona In due ci abbiamo praticamente rimesso circa 60 euro Una vera truffa
