About the tour

Explore Rome's secret island, Ponza, on a day trip departing from central Rome. Avoid crowded, lacklustre beaches near Rome and enjoy crystal-clear waters 30 nautical miles away in Ponza.

The ferry to Ponza, costing 60 euros (not included, payable at check-in), departs from Anzio, offering a 1.5-hour ride. Upon arrival in Ponza, take a brief break for breakfast and board an excursion boat for an exhilirating 5-hour circumnavigation of Ponza. Discover hidden coves, gravity-defying rock formations, and blue grottoes while your expert tour leader translates the Italian commentary. Make 4-5 stops for swimming and snorkeling, and enjoy a pasta lunch freshly prepared by the captain and served on board, picnic style.

The boat excursion ends at 4:00 PM, providing an hour of free time in Ponza's lively port to enjoy an ice cream or a spritz, or to shop. Board the return ferry to Anzio, reaching central Rome just before 9:00 PM. This organized tour handles logistics, ensuring a worry-free experience.

Opt for the "with snorkel" option to receive your own set of gear, or choose a private experience with hotel pick-up, a guide, skipper, and a private boat. For the private excursion, lunch is not included but can be purchased in the port and brought on board or you can schedule a lunch stop at a restaurant. Ferry tickets for the private experience cost an additional 60 euros (paid at check-in).

Wonderful experience except for the ferry

The guide Ponza and the boat ride around the island were all 5 stars But the 2 hour ferry ride on rough seas was horrible

Itinerary

Starting Point

We meet front of Caffè Cestia in Piazza di Porta San Paolo 1. Please note that above the bar the sign says “BAR PIRAMIDE” and not Caffè Cestia. The caffè is located to the left of OTTICA PIRAMIDE. Look for our representative wearing the color bright green and carrying a flag with the EcoArt logo.The cafè is open in the early mornings. The closest metro stop is the Line B - Piramide station.

Wunderbares Ponza

Die Bootstour war richtig schön man konnte viel von der Insel sehen und das Baden mit den Fischen war super Ich würde jeden das Schnorchel set empfehlen den dadurch konnte man wirklich viele Fische sehen Wir waren mit Riccardo unterwegs und am Ende konnte man sich die Insel noch eine Stunde an schauen und auf Nachfrage konnte er uns noch einen Tipp mit großartiger Aussicht empfehlen

Great tour

My family really enjoyed this boat tour around the island Ponza was so beautiful and the only way to see it is by boat Lunch was delish and I even had seconds We swam through a tunnel and floated in the sea What an experience

Die Tour ist teuer der Fähren Preis von 50Person nicht inkludiert Aber Die Inseltour hat sich ausgezahlt man sieht verschiedene Spots rund um Ponza herum 5x sind wir schnorcheln gegangen Das absolute Highlight war durch Grotten schnorcheln zu können Die Farben des Meeres wunderschön Ricardo hat alles super erklärt und Details über jede Steinformation erzählt Rechnet damit dass der ganze Tag verplant ist man trifft sich um 630 und ist erst um ungefähr 21uhr wieder in der Stadt Trotzdem wer jetzt im Sommer in Rom ist bisschen Geld hat und sich abkühlen will diese Tour unbedingt buchen
