Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Vatican Museums 

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, including but not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are allowed in almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. Please note that bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment, such as tripods, large video equipments, and equipment backpacks, will not be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Decent Overview of the Vatican

Good overview of the Vatican Cant say it was the best tour but we were satisfied we got to see the most important things Our guide was good She explained some of the history of the most important works in the museums Although not the fault of the tour or the tour company the most upsetting thing was the disrespect guests had for the Sistine Chapel It was unbelievably noisy and people were constantly being called out not to take photos EVERYONE IS TOLD HOW TO BEHAVE but many people just dont care and it was very upsetting

The small group option with basilica access is a MUST

We had an awesome tour with Laura was so pleased to choose the small group option only 10 people and for our guide Laura She was super knowledgeable interesting funny and guided us around the main sights there could be so many I could imagine you could spend days and then we skipped the line and security to the Basilica and we did the Dome too We loved the Map room Rafaellos work and of course the Sistine chapel If you like buildings beautiful ceiling art sculptures artwork tapestries this is for you It really worth the small group option and highly recommend Laura

Vatican Sistine Chapel St Peters Bascilica

Chiara made our small group skiptheline tour very memorable She shared so much knowledge with us while keeping the tour moving at a steady pace The initial line to get in appeared extremely long but Chiara assured us that it would move quickly when the doors opened and it did We had a 2 year old with our group of 4 adults and we were able to store our stroller at the entrance Museums were spectacular and fully guided We had adequate time to take in the Sistine Chapel and then St Peters Bascilica was at our own pace and completely breathtaking No trip to Rome is complete without a visit to Vatican City

Tour guide was warm and enthusiastic

Our tour guide was outstanding He took us to small rooms in the museum other guides were not in to share with us art by Van Gough and Dali He had many sacred references to the history and divinity of the Catholic Church He talked nonstop with warmth and enthusiasm Highly recommended
