In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

We love our tour at the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel very much and mainly because our tour guide Shaklò has made the whole experience more fun and memorable She is very informative and always makes sure each of us in the tour has taken great care of Im also glad that she speaks fluent English and very easy to understand despite we are using the headsets Im a Fine Arts Major and with the stories and histories she shared during the tour I felt like Im back to university and learnt even more than I had before Thank you Grazie

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries,;Gallery of the Maps, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Vatican museum and Sistine Chapela

Our tour guide Giuseppe was very knowledgeable and friendly He showed us the 16th Chapel and the death star model It was very hot almost everywhere except for 2 rooms He described the fresco process and the special 3D effects of the paintings and tapestries We even saw the face of Sylvester Stallone Very good sense of humor He would not have made a great pope but he was blessed by the Pope so he is a holy man

Summer queues for the Vatican are ridiculous for your own sanity you want at least this ticket

Yes Do this The queue around the Vatican was insane Hundreds and hundreds of people The skip the line ticket took us directly in to the vatican museum entrance There was very little queuing to get in to the museum and from then on it was a mad house but at least we got in easily Dont go there if you are claustrophobic and keep your group together When it is really busy they do crowd control by stopping the flow and redirecting the people behind Our group was split and one lot ended up coming out the other side of the Vatican
