In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries,;Gallery of the Maps, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Tour with Martina Vatican Museums

Martina was an absolutely fantastic guide She struck the perfect balance between being professional and casual making the entire experience feel fun and engaging Even though the Vatican Museums were extremely busy she navigated us through the crowds with ease always pointing out the best spots to stand for the perfect perspective on the historical pieces Her humor energy and clear explanations brought the artworks and history to life She genuinely made the tour many times better than it would have been on our own Highly recommend Martina to anyone visiting the Vatican

Unforgettable Vatican Tour A MustDo Experience with Guia

I recently joined a guided tour of the Vatican and it was absolutely phenomenal The entire experience was both enriching and enjoyable thanks to our incredible guide who delivered the perfect amount of informationnever too much never too little Their storytelling brought the history art and architecture to life without ever feeling overwhelming or dry We covered so many iconic sites including the Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica and learned fascinating details that I would have missed on my own The pace was just right and the guides passion and knowledge made the tour truly memorable If youre visiting Rome this tour is a must Its informative wellorganized and a fantastic way to experience the Vaticans treasures

Amazing Tour and Fantastic Guide

We booked the semiprivate Vatican tour with Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica and we placed with Eddy as our guide He was phenomenal He was SO knowledgable and energetic He kept us laughing and was always ready to answer questions We had a great time on this tour and would totally do it again

Excellent tour well worth it

Our tour guide Martina was super knowledgeable and friendly Even though there was a bit of a problem with our tickets initially fault of the Vatican Museums she handled it well and used the extra waiting time to go in depth about the Sistine Chapel We appreciated that the tour was small only 10 and that we had headphones and could hear the guide clearly throughout the tour The Vatican Museum is gigantic so this tour does not cover all 54 of the galleries if you want to explore more after the tour you have the option of staying but you wont be able to skip the line for the basilica All in all I would highly recommend this tour
