In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.


This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.


When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Eco-Art is the one for Vatican Museums

Booked on to a trip to the museums with EcoArt, we got totally lost and missed the trip by a couple of minutes, Cosima was really helpful and booked us on to the next day which was excellent of them. Well worth the money! Amazing experience!

Our tour guide was amazing. Very knowledgeable and kind. It was an extremely busy and hot day but Martina managed to keep us all together and on time. Brilliant!

Great day with a great guide!

We had a great time with Riccardo on our Vatican/Sistine Chapel tour. We had our kids, ages 7 & 9, and they loved it too. Riccardo was awesome and very knowledgeable. It was a busy hot day but Riccardo kept us going at a great pace.

Awesome Tour

Excellent guide who gave a very comprehensive tour. Thank you. Tour took about 2.5 hours which some kids found quite long but other than that was excellent. Great to skip queues as well!

Eco Art were excellent great guide

We booked a few tours for our stay & we found that locating your tour company (there were many) can be tricky. This one was on some steps opposite the Vatican entrance so not too hard to find. The guide was great, very knowledgeable. It was very busy as it probably is most days in holiday season but she made sure we kept together & the audio means you can hear her much better regardless of the noise around you. It was just the right length of tour taking in the museums, which were basically the halls & corridors leading to the sisten chapel, we had 20 minutes in the chapel which was full of people & that was enough. She then led us out to the square where the tour ended & we were free to enjoy st.pauls basilica on our own. All in all very good.
