In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries, and the Gallery of the Maps and the Raphael Rooms.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

There was a lot of people the whole time so be prepared for crowds Dont go on a Wednesday if you want to see the basilica as they have mass and its closed Our guide Enzo was great

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Greek Cross Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries,;Gallery of the Maps, Raphael Rooms, and the Sistine Chapel.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

My husband and I were on a pilgrim for this Jubilee Year 2025 to Rome for our 20th anniversary After visiting the Holy Doors we wanted to see the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel but with the freedom to do it on our own so we can linger on the exhibits we like and move on with those that we dont This was the package for us Now the night before the tour we ate delicious Italian seafood pasta When we awoke on the day of the tour we experienced intense allergic reactions Instead of preparing for the tour at 7am we were looking for antihistamines I contacted the Viator vendor and an agent replied helping us She sent us the tickets and gave us a heads up that we wont be able to skip the lines anymore since we will miss our 830am schedule We arrived 945am at the entrance of the museum with the pdf tickets at hand The guard for the skipped the line said we cant use the skip the line entrance as the Viator agent have said We were directed towards those who didnt have tickets yet and we waited for about 15 mins there before we were able to enter That was because there were only about 20 of us on the line Lucky Nevertheless we got in using the tickets we bought thru Viator It went well for us Thank you

This was definitely the way to see the Vatican museums and our tour guide Martina was exceptional The detail in her commentary brought the experience to life This is my second time but my Dads first and at 81 he coped really well I apologise now for all the questions he had but Martina was so happy to respond and she managed this so well

15 hr Vatican tour

Our guide Lara was clear concise and knowledgable bringing the tour to life We opted for the 15 hour tour as we have 2 younger children it didnt feel rushed Opt for the 8am skip the line choice to avoid the crowds Ending in St Peters Basilica we then had time to look round this at our leisure

Fantastic tour

Had a wonderful tour with Marina very knowledgeable and entertaining She kept the tour flowing at just the right pace to see and understand the main points of interest Sistene Chapel was inspiring
