In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.


This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.


When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Tour and guide where superb

This tour was great We toured the Vatican and Sistine chapel Eddy was an excellent tour guide he was engaging throughout and gave us in depth details and still kept it fun Great tour highly recommend

Good Tour but Microphone Ear piece system was terrible

The tour guide was great and had some good things to say but the radios microphone system they used was terrible I only understood about 25 of what was being said Sometimes when the surroundings were quiet though I could take off my ear piece and just listen to the tour guide directly which was better I highly recommend investing in a better microphone system for your tours

Great for all age groups

It be been great excursion over the Vatican museum Very well organised no delays quick pass the entrance of museum And big thanks to Oscar for being such an attentive and interesting guide Both my mum and my 15 yo daughter enjoyed museum as much as me Thx

Great for avoiding large crowds

The tour guide Adriano was knowledgeable about each exhibit and took us through the large groups of people with ease He waited for everyone My husband and I both hate crowds and even though we are technically here off season in November it was wall to wall people Taking this tour helped us by taking us around the crowdsas much as possible It was well worth the money and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Vatican on or off season

We learned and saw so much awesome tour guide

What a wonderful tour we had at the Vatican with Catalina of EcoArt The meeting spot was easily found the company was very organized quickly broke us down to smaller groups and helped us all with the personal headphones Catalina led us through skipping the lines making sure everyone was taking care of and was so very knowledgeable in all the history art tapestries sculptures and artists We were very impressed by her enthusiasmand also her kindness and consideration for everyone in our group
