In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. This tour is well worth it You beat the line first of all and when they had to cancel my original tour that was a smaller group they quickly adjusted it and refunded what the difference was Stefano was a gem of a tour guide I hope everyone has someone like Stefano I wish he could be our tour guide through all of Italy

Easy access and fun insightful tour of the Vatican

If youre looking for much quicker access to the Vatican with an amazing guide to provide you with background look no further I visited the Vatican at the end of July and the guide we were assigned to Oxana provided our group with such a wonderful time We were able to skip the line smoothly with Oxana alongside our group every step of the way Her friendliness passion and knowledge about the Vatican museums art and history were a huge complement to the works There was nothing better than getting to soak in the richness of the arts while at the same time being informed of the history of pieces in sight we were given ear pieces that connected to Oxana to allow for clear listening while walking Overall Oxana was an engaging guide who communicated history clearly and also asked fun questions on the occasion to get your mind going participation optional Access to the Sistine Chapel comes right after the Vatican museums No photos allowed Finally once exiting the VaticanSistine Chapel you get direct entry to St Peters Basilica Highly recommend this activity for all art and history lovers
