In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Great Guide Great tour

This is a great experience Weve toured the Vatican before but we got so much more out of this experience than we have in the past Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and made a point to explain things in a way that ensured we all understood the significance of all of the art and architecture around us We really enjoyed ourselves and feel we learned more than we had from tours in the past

Great trip

this trip was great the views were absolutely beautiful meeting with the guide in Anzio was easy stress free The water looked and felt amazing There are some cool caves that you can swim into With the snorkel i saw fish sea urchins jellyfish They do serve lunch on board pasta w red sauce tuna olives or plain pasta with olive oil and waterwine I did get stung by a jellyfish so be aware but honestly the sting wasnt that bad Also if youre prone to sea sickness please take medicine one person threw up on board lots of people got sick on the ferry back to anzio

A fantastic experience we couldnt reccomend it highly enough

Ricardo was excellent with his knowledge of all the areas during the tour he made the history relevant and interesting it was much better than just paying in and walking about our self if I come back I will certainly take the tour again

Put simply Magnificent

This was a must do tour as part of our trip to Rome as a couple travelling alongside our friends another couple Ahmed was our tour guide and he was very informative and made sure that we saw the very best of all what the Vatican the Sistine and St Peters had to offer There was so much history to learn about and Ahmed delivered it to us perfectly Everything about the tour was fantastic so many wonderful objects sculptures architecture and paintings and I feel I could visit again and see a hundred things I didnt spot this time The skip the line aspect was worth its weight in gold and having a guide to explain what you were looking at and experiencing made all the difference
