In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

What to bring with you

Comfortable shoes are recommended.
Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Awesome Vatican Tour

The tour was fantastic Giuseppe our guide was knowledgeable without being overwhelming He highlighted every major detail in a relatively short space of time while adding things we never wouldve learnt otherwise and his light hearted approach and humour made the experience even more enjoyable Got to see everything we wanted to and couldnt fault a thing with the tour thank you

So much beauty in one place

Amazing to see the wealth of the Vatican So much beauty in one place A lot of walking plenty of stairs Make sure you have the right shoes Elena our guide was amazing entertaining whilst providing plenty of knowledge

Tricky Tour

Great tour The Vatican is its own city There is a lot of walking involved Pictures are allowed in the Vatican but NOT IN THE CHAPEL If you are with a tour group when you break off to meet up about 15 minutes later dont leave your group stay with them Once you exit the Chapel you can not go back in It is one way and there is security to make sure of that I got caught up in the line that was exiting and could not get back into the Chapel Just outside the Chapel is the gift shop but there are numerous rooms so if you are shopping while waiting to reunite with your tour group you can miss each other WAIT RIGHT OUTSIDE OF THE CHAPEL Shop later

Easyto follow directions to the meeting point Our guide Polina was extremely organized knowledgeable and skillful at keeping the tour moving The tour was fastpaced but I didnt feel rushed Polina pointed out many interesting aspects of the Vatican museums and its collections A great overview of this unmissable site

Great tour

Excellent tour Monica was fantastic and very knowledgeable packed in a lot of information and we saw all the key areas and learnt a lot I dont think we would have learned half as much if we had not been on the tour ideal arrangement as it allowed skip the line access to St Peters Basilica and then time on our own to spend there as well
