In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

After free time in the Sistine Chapel - you'll be able choose to end your visit at the Vatican Museums entrance or continue to explore on your own.

At the conclusion of your tour, you will enjoy skip-the-line access to St. Peter's Basilica, excluding Wednesdays and special events.

The guide was prepared and fun The radio system worked for me Im italian his accent didnt bother me but my wife american struggled somewhat Museum was run at high pace but thats understandable plan for a guided fast visit and a solo slow one Recommended

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Vatican Museums or St. Peter's Basilica

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.


This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.


When available,Skip the Line Access to St. Peter's Basilica will be automatically provided at no extra cost. No guided tour will be provided. Please note that the Basilica is a separate venue to the Vatican Museums, is free to enter and does not require a ticket. It is not possible to always guarantee access to the Basilica, which may close with little or no notice.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.

  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. perfect experience

This was my second time at the Vatican I had toured it over 30 years ago It was different having them take you through the Vatican museum before getting to the Sistine Chapel and then into St Peters Basilica I am so glad we chose a skip the line and small group It was easier to get more out of it and personal plus not standing in the long line we saw outside was wonderful Our guide was really able to make the historical pieces come to life I will warn you that there is no AC I the Vatican museum part but there is in the Sistine Chapel and St Peters Giulia was simply wonderful I would recommend if you go in the warmer months that you get fan of some sort Cold water is also a must

Worth it

Paulina did a fantastic job guiding our group through packed crowds in the Vatican She had lots of interesting information to share throughout the rooms of the Vatican Museums and dealt with small issues and delays with grace The skip the line access was a huge plus even with small delays due to the sheer number of visitors to this amazing place Paulina was easy to understand through our earpieces and was able to make each room seem special and important She kept track of each of us and inquired about questions even offering ideas for how to best enjoy the remainder of our visit after the formal tour ended I would book this tour again just to have someone else deal with all tickets lines and guiding through such a huge place with so many crowds

Great Vatican tour

What a great tour Martina got us into the museum quickly and easily and provided great and funny commentary throughout the tour I loved that she filled the waiting times with great stories as well as facts about what was coming up

Amazing So worth booking

We really liked this tour It is so worth booking with this company instead instead of going at it on your own Ecoart communicated ahead of time very well and we knew exactly how to prepare for this tour Our guide Paulina was so knowledgeable and navigated our group through the Vatican very well It was wonderful to be able to learn more from a local guide I would highly recommend booking this tour

One of the best tours Ive been on

Our tour guide was so knowledgeable and nice Tour was fairly comprehensive and though Id previously been to the Vatican I learned a lot more from this tour I highly recommend it
