Please Note: Due to the passing of Pope Francis, the Sistine Chapel will be closed from April 28 until the end of the conclave. Tours will run as scheduled but will not include the Sistine Chapel during this period. Access to St. Peter's Basilica may also be interrupted.

This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Please Note: Due to the passing of Pope Francis, the Sistine Chapel will be closed from April 28 until the end of the conclave. Tours will run as scheduled but will not include the Sistine Chapel during this period. Access to St. Peter's Basilica may also be interrupted.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Excellent tour of the Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica

As an avid traveler interested in art and history our recent visit to the Vatican Museums Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica was one of my favorite experiences Guided by an exceptional tour guide Oscar my group learned a tremendous amount about the Vatican and its cultural significance Oscar is a veritable fountain of information and he seamlessly wove together the threads of art architecture history politics and religion providing a comprehensive understanding of the Vatican in great detail Oscars passion for the Vatican was infectious and our group greatly appreciated his humor and knowledge Thanks to the expertise and enthusiasm of Oscar I gained a deeper understanding of the prominent individuals and key development in the Vaticans history This guided tour is illuminating and entertaining one that I wholeheartedly recommend to any traveler seeking to learn more about the Vatican

Amazing Small Group Experience

Amazing tour experience in a small group Oscar our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us insights into the Vatican that made the tour come alive Would recommend the tour that includes the Raphael rooms as these are spectacular

The museum and hosts were great However when arrived at St Peter Basilica the tickets were no good to skip the line
