In groups of 20 people or less, our insider guides will lead you straight to the most important areas of the Vatican Museums. This classic itinerary of the must-see sights includes stops in the Pinecone Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, the Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of the Maps.

This tour culminates inside the museums at the Sistine Chapel. Rules are rules, and your guide will be unable to speak while you are inside. However, your insider guide will prepare you for your visit to this word wonder beforehand.

Starting Point

Plan on arriving to our meeting point at least 15 minutes in advance of your selected departure time. Meet our representative on the steps in front of Via Tunisi, 4. The steps are located at the corner with Via Sebastiano Veniero. Your Ticket Host will be holding a flag with the green EcoArt logo.

Itineraries vary from day to day and at the discretion of your guide who will adapt your route.

This itinerary covers the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Other stops include but are not limited to: Pinecone Courtyard, Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, the Round Room, Candelabra Gallery, Gallery of the Tapestries and the Gallery of the Maps.

Additional information
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended.
  • Leave big backpacks at your hotel! Only small purses are permitted inside the Museums.
  • Something to cover your knees and shoulders.
  • Photos are permitted is almost all rooms of the Vatican Museums, except for the Sistine Chapel. No bulky or clearly professional photographic or video equipment (especially tripods or large videocameras, equipment backpacks) will be permitted inside the Museums.

  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • *THIS VOUCHER IS NOT A TICKET* You must redeem this voucher at the meeting time and location designed on this voucher, with one of our designed Ticket Coordinators.
  • It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes.
  • Large bags and backpacks must be checked in.
  • To enter the Vatican Museums, shoulders and knees must be covered.
  • We are unfortunately unable to accomodate guests with wheelchairs.
  • Guests must be able to climb and descend stairs on their own.
  • Guests with a certified disability of over 75% are entitled to free entrance to the Vatican and do not require a ticket. For guests who are not self-sufficient, free entry is extended to a companion.  

Tour goes forward rain or shine! Your Vatican Tour may be cancelled for a full refund or may be switched to a different date/time as long as your request is received no later than 24 hours before your original departure time and date. Multiple changes are permitted. To request a cancellation or change of time/date, send an e-mail to info@ecoarttravel.com.

Great Guide

Learning about Michaelangelo and his painting of the Sistine Chapel before going in to see it Rhe guide Sarah was very knowledgeable and didnt rush us through everything She was attentive to the needs of one of our group

Outstanding tour guide

Excellent tour guide named Loreley On this day it was raining and crowds were unreal when we lined up This was on May 3rd 2024 All attendees were accounted for Loreley kept track of everyone with all the challenges of this particular day Got our earphones so we can listen to her even if she was a few steps ahead It was a busy time of the year but nevertheless she did an outstanding job of each area we explored including when not allowed to take photos Loreley is a teaching and an educator I am pretty sure if you sat down with her for dinner you could learn vast amounts of more info Butthe tour was limited to certain amount of time All good worth every penny

Solid experience

Great stream lined tour 25hr of awe The meeting point instructions were clear There were several dozens of people scheduled for the same tour however we broke off into small groups and were given portable devices with headphones in order to hear our guide Ricardo was charismatic and knowledgeable The tour was scheduled at 0800 and there was a literal mass amount of people he navigated our group to smaller areas to get great views Youre definitely hitting the high points of the Vatican Museum with a solid 15min to view the Sistine Chapel We thought it was enough time since anymore might be too much since there was no break involved St Peters Basilica was self guided which was ok but would definitely recommend a separate tour for that

Catalina was an excellent

Catalina was an excellent guide for this tour The group size was great 10 I think and Catalina was amusing informative and friendly It was a busy day but she kept us moving through the museums and gave plenty of background information
